Thursday, July 28

This morning I had inservice, but this afternoon I was with Mrs. Marilyn Estes at Charlotte Elementary.  We replaced 3 computers in the office, and worked on 2 in a classroom.  What surprises me is although that does not sound like a lot of "work", it is very time consuming.  Putting the hardware together is easy, it's the software that Mrs. Estes has to load and "tweak" and register.  She does some of that and then has to restart the computer (at least 5 to 10 minutes of waiting), back to more software tweaking and then another restart to make sure all comes up right.  Time seems to fly by and we haven't done very much WORK.  I did get another computer for my room out of the deal, she let me have the slower, less memory computer from the office.  I think the best part of this 6000 class is the relationships you form with the technology people.
